The Effects of Sin

Today’s Truth

My friend, let us not be foolish in thinking that our choices to sin affects only ourselves. They, in fact, affect all those around us and even the very earth itself. Before giving in to temptation and sin, consider how your choices will have a ripple effect, hurting those you love, and all those is beautiful in this life. Your choices matter.

Discussion Questions
  1. What are some of the consequences of sin that you have faced? How has God used those consequences to teach you things you needed to learn?
  2. Sin even affects the land in this passage. How has sin affected the land in our modern world? Where do you see selfish choices affecting the environment?
  3. How has God used others to “hunt you down?” How has he demonstrated his love in those moments?
Life Application

Sin has a devastating effect not only on the one who commits it, but also on those around them, and even the earth itself.
