1 Samuel 11-Victory Through God’s Power
Read 1 Samuel 11:6
Today’s Truth
In 1 Samuel 11, we see Saul’s first test as king when Nahash, the Ammonite leader, threatens the Israelites in Jabesh-Gilead. The people were terrified and considered surrendering. But when Saul heard about their distress, the Spirit of God came upon him, and he led Israel to a great victory.
This passage reminds us that God empowers His people to overcome their battles. Saul, who previously doubted himself, became bold when God’s Spirit filled him. The victory was not about his strength, but about God working through him.
