“Choosing Honor Over Revenge””-1 Samuel 25
Read 1 Samuel 25:33
Today’s Truth
David is insulted by a foolish man named Nabal, who refuses to help him and his men after they protected Nabal’s flocks. Furious, David sets out to destroy Nabal and everything he owns.
But Abigail—Nabal’s wise and courageous wife—steps in. She humbly approaches David, bringing food and an apology, and urges him not to stain his future with bloodshed out of anger. David listens, cools down, and blesses Abigail for her wisdom.
God uses Abigail to stop David from making a terrible mistake in a moment of rage.
