God is our Refuge 

Read Nahum 1:7-8
Today’s Truth

What a picture of the goodness, the love, and the wrath and the judgment of God coupled together. It’s all throughout the first chapter of Nahum and exemplified in these two verses. Did you hear the beginning? “The Lord is good. He is a stronghold in times of trouble. He knows those who take refuge in Him.” What an encouraging verse.

Discussion Question
  1. How is God your stronghold in a time of trouble?
  2. How have you found rest and refuge in God? Is he the first place you look to find those things? Explain.
  3. God has pursued you in times of trouble? How have you responded to his pursuit?
Life Application

The Lord is interested in the details of your life, and He is a stronghold for you. When you face trouble, you can find refuge and rest in God. The Lord is good to all who take refuge in Him.
