God’s Faithfulness-Deuteronomy 31
Read Deuteronomy 31:6
Today’s Truth
Deuteronomy 31 marks a significant transition in the story of Israel. Moses, the faithful leader who guided the Israelites through the wilderness, is preparing to pass on leadership to Joshua. As he addresses the people, his words are filled with reassurance and encouragement rooted in God’s steadfast presence.
In verse 6, Moses reminds the Israelites of a foundational truth: they are not alone. The same God who delivered them from Egypt, provided manna in the desert, and gave them victory over their enemies will continue to be with them as they face new challenges.
This promise—“He will never leave you nor forsake you”—is a bedrock of faith. It isn’t based on circumstances or human strength but on God’s unchanging character. Just as He was faithful to the Israelites, He remains faithful to us today.
