God’s Passion for the Nations
Read Zechariah 8:20-23
Today’s Truth
God is passionate about bringing all the nations from every tongue to be among his people and that’s the picture. I love particularly verse 23 here. “Thus says the Lord of hosts. In those days, 10 men from the nations of every tongue.” So all nations, this is the picture. 10 men from the nations of every tongue shall take a hold of the robe of a Jew’s covenant people of God in the Old Testament. But here’s all these Gentile nations of every tongue taking a hold of the robe of the people of God saying, “We want to go with you for we’ve heard that God is with you.”

- How do you go into the world and testify about Jesus so that the nations will know there is a kind and compassionate God?
- What does it look like to introduce people to the love of God?
- Are you intentional about carrying out the great commission? Why or why not
Life Application
Make disciples of all the nations. Go to all the nations that they might see in you the spirit of God, the love of God, the grace of God, and the gospel of God that they might go with you. Picture it this way. Here we are you and I who are followers of Jesus on a road that leads to eternal glory to heaven, to a place where there’s no more sin and no more sorrow and no more suffering and no more death. We will be with God in perfect harmony with God, with all people who have trusted in Jesus, a new heaven and a new Earth. That’s where we’re going.
