Today’s Truth
Deuteronomy 34 concludes the life and ministry of Moses, one of the most faithful and humble servants of God. Moses’ journey is marked by God’s miraculous works: from leading the Israelites out of Egypt to receiving the Law at Mount Sinai and guiding the people through the wilderness for 40 years. Yet, Moses does not enter the Promised Land. Instead, God allows him to see it from Mount Nebo before calling him home.
This chapter highlights God’s sovereignty. While Moses’ mission comes to an end, God’s plan for Israel continues under Joshua’s leadership. It’s a reminder that God’s purposes are greater than any one person. His plans unfold in His timing and through His chosen instruments.
Even in Moses’ death, we see God’s care. The Lord Himself buries Moses, a deeply personal and loving act. This shows how intimately God cares for His servants, even in their final moments.
