Revival and Awakening

Joel 2:12-14

"Even now, declares the LORD, return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing — grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God”

Today’s Truth:

Gods heart is full of compassion. His desire is for repentance. With confidence in his longing to save, we can cry out for revival and awakening. This is often Gods divine purpose in difficulty. In kindness he is leading us to repentance.

Discussion Questions:
  1. Why is repentance important in every aspect of our life? What does it mean to repent?
  2. Based on this passage, how does God respond to our repentance?
  3. What does revival mean? Why is it necessary in this moment in time for the church to experience revival?
