Ruth 2- God’s Provision in Unexpected Ways
Read Ruth 2:1
Today’s Truth
Ruth and Naomi returned to Bethlehem with nothing—widowed, poor, and vulnerable. But in Ruth 2, we see a beautiful picture of God’s provision through Boaz, a kind and generous landowner.
Ruth, determined to provide for Naomi, goes to glean in the fields, gathering leftover grain. She “happens” to enter the field of Boaz, a relative of Naomi’s late husband. Boaz notices Ruth’s hard work and faithfulness, offering her protection and extra grain.
This wasn’t luck—it was God’s providence. Ruth’s decision to follow Naomi and trust in God led her to exactly where she needed to be.
Often, we don’t see God’s hand at work in the moment, but He is always providing—whether through opportunities, relationships, or small acts of kindness from others.
