Seek God’s Correction

Read Micah 2:11
Today’s Truth

What a verse, what a commentary on both the people in Micah’s day and false prophets in Micah’s day. God is saying through a faithful, true prophet, Micah, that his people just want to hear what they want to hear. They want to be encouraged and comforted to continue living for the prosperity of this world instead of being confronted and corrected in ways that would be pleasing to God.

Discussion Question
  1. Why do we often tried to avoid correction either by God or his people?
  2. How has godly correction helped you in times past?
  3. When you have accepted godly correction, how have things gone for you?
Life Application

Micah 2:11 Shows Us that We are All Prone to Avoid Being Confronted. We live in a world where we are surrounded by people who are pointing us away from God. The danger is when there are even people who call themselves the people of God who are doing this.
