Trusting God’s Plan-Joshua 6
Read Joshua 6:2
Today’s Truth
The story of the fall of Jericho in Joshua 6 is one of the most remarkable accounts of victory in Scripture. It demonstrates God’s power, His faithfulness to His promises, and His ability to work in ways that defy human understanding.
Jericho was a heavily fortified city, and from a human perspective, it seemed impenetrable. Yet God’s instructions to Joshua and the Israelites were unconventional: march around the city for six days and, on the seventh day, march seven times, blow the trumpets, and shout. No weapons, no siege tactics—just obedience and faith.
The outcome? The walls collapsed, and the city was delivered into their hands. This victory reminds us of some key truths about God and our faith journey.

Application
Trust God Even When His Plans Don’t Make Sense: God’s strategy for conquering Jericho made no logical sense from a military perspective. Yet Joshua and the Israelites obeyed fully, trusting that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Obedience Leads to Victory: The Israelites’ victory came through their obedience. They followed God’s instructions exactly, and the results were miraculous. This story reminds us that success in our spiritual lives comes not from our strength or wisdom but from aligning ourselves with God’s will.
God is Faithful to His Promises: The fall of Jericho was part of God’s promise to give the Israelites the land of Canaan. God’s faithfulness to His word is a recurring theme throughout Scripture, and this story reminds us that He always fulfills His promises.
