God Will Never Stand in the Way of You Needing Him
Read Psalm 33:4-5
Today’s Truth
t often takes a great need before we turn to God, and we should bring those things to Him. But God wants us to hear from us in all things, not just the big things. And our relationship with God is strengthened as we learn to rely on Him in all things, rather than waiting until we "need" Him.
How do we depend on God when we don’t feel like it? In Psalm 33, David sets a great example of how remembering who God is helps us depend on Him. He celebrates who God is and how he is faithful.
Discussion Questions
- How do you feel about asking others for help? How does it make you feel when you have to ask God or others for help?
- What is one truth about God you need to remember this week? Find a verse and put it somewhere you can see it daily, like the bathroom mirror or kitchen fridge.
Application
God made us, loves us, and sustains us. When we depend on Him, He will see us through anything.
Often, we think we’re trusting in God, but our words and actions show otherwise. What would our lives look like if we really believed that God is as faithful as David says He is in Psalm 33? What would we do if we knew we couldn’t lose in Christ? P.S. We should know that!
