Judges 4-Trusting God’s Leadership
Read Judges 4:14
Today’s Truth
Judges 4 introduces Deborah, a prophetess and judge of Israel, and Barak, the military commander. Israel was oppressed by King Jabin and his commander Sisera, but God raised up Deborah to lead His people.
Barak hesitated to go into battle without Deborah, but God assured them of victory. In an unexpected twist, Jael, a woman with no military background, defeated Sisera by driving a tent peg through his head. This shows that God can use anyone—regardless of gender, status, or experience—to accomplish His purposes.
