Today’s Truth

God commanded that the priests and Levites should receive a portion of many of the offerings. The Lord provided for these servants through the offerings the Israelites brought.  

God also warned Israel against adopting the detestable spiritual practices of the Canaanites. He wanted a people committed to Him and His Word.

Discussion Questions
  • Why is the fair application of God’s commands so important? Ask Him to help you see areas of your life where you might display partiality.
  • Ponder for a moment the depth of love Jesus displayed by dying on the cross for us. Write what Jesus’ death means to you.
Application

Moses declared that one day, the Lord would raise up another prophet to guide the people. Peter later connected Moses’ words to Jesus as he addressed Jerusalem’s religious leaders. Jesus, God’s Son, is the greatest prophet ever!
