Passage: Luke 19:1-10

Summary

Christmas can be meaningful this year because Scripture tells us exactly what to celebrate. We celebrate that Jesus was born to seek and to save the lost.

Sermon Questions
  1. What is your favorite thing about Christmas? What to you is significant about the birth of Christ?
  2. Jesus makes it clear that he has come to seek and save the lost. What does that mean to you? Why is that so important for us as the church?
  3. Who are you praying for by name this Christmas season? Here's the challenge for the people of Grace Place. I want to encourage you to pray for three unbelievers by name every day from today until Christmas Day. As we celebrate Jesus' birth, the hope is we might be celebrating spiritual births of many people who put their trust in Jesus this Christmas season.
  4. What would it look like for us to move toward those who seem far from God? What could you do? It's possible that those who seem farthest are actually closest to encountering him.
  5. When it comes to Christianity, the goal is for unbelievers to be able to see Jesus through you and through me. Do you make it easy for people to see Jesus through you? Explain.
