Passage: John 19:28-29
Summary
God in the flesh, God as a man—incarnate. John made sure his readers didn’t forget that in spite of the God-like miracles Jesus did, he was still a man. Maybe that’s why John is the only one to record this word from the cross: “I’m thirsty.” He wanted his church and the church to know that Jesus was a man.
