Passage: 1 Corinthians 11:17-34

Summary

The Lord’s Supper is supposed to be a moment of incredible gospel clarity--where the church puts on visible display the unity of the body Jesus died to create. Where we declare, our common hope in Jesus is more important to us than any secondary thing that divides us.

Sermon Questions
  1. Imagine you’re talking to someone who is not familiar with church but interested and they ask about what communion is all about. How would you describe it to them and what it points to?
  2. From verses 18-22, what was the practice or behavior that Paul was addressing?
  3. What does the Lord’s Supper mean to you?
  4. What are some good practices we can implement to make sure we’re going to the Lord’s Table in a worthy manner?
  5. What is meant by eating and drinking judgment on oneself?
